Harley Davidson

14 lines, here we are
Rain or shine, wind or hail still no car
Harley Davidson how she loves the
name
Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki just not the
same
Loving the sound of the engine
The sun and wind on her dark skin
On the back she rides on the throne
Wishing she could have one of her own
Biker rallies all year long
On the road again is her song
Sturgis, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Daytona,
Red River
Now you see the whole wild picture
Harley Davison chaps and leather and
boots with fur
Black and silver sportster now that’s
her

Buffalo Solider
“Stolen from Africa, Brought to America
Fighting an arrival, Fighting for
survival”(Bob Marley)

Grandpa sits in his old
Wooden rocking chair
Reek---reek---reek
The smell of hot tea and home baked
cookies
A breeze runs through a cracked
window

The night is
Young and cool
The air is cool
The stories are told
The slaves are no longer sold
Grandpa’s grandpa’s
grandpa a hero

Many generation have passed and
gone
Millions of memories to be heard
The 19th of June a day to
Remember the white man
Forced to surrender

Freedom is
Color blind eye
United as one
It no longer matters

Tears runs through
Wrinkles and leathered skin
Rocking chair reek---reek---reek
My grandpa’s songs of freedom

Nurse

Mother a nurse
Necklace a stethoscope
What’s in her purse?
Needles and gloves for a poke

Hospitals and beds, Doctors and
nurses
Patients lie their head, what’s in
their purses

Work not easy
Actually  Hard
Sometimes quizzy
She holds the card

Work is over
Home she goes
Feeds dog Grover
Always kids on her toes
